2014 Room 4 @ Clive School: 2014

Wahoooo!! And they were off!!

Vrooommmmm Vroommmmmmm!

We have been earning money since the start of the term and in our group we purchased items for our car from Miss Lowe's Shop.

1. We talked about what our car will need and what we could use to make it work well.

2. We had to design a car and label everything we needed.

3. We had to look at the prices and quantities we needed and make sure that we had enough money to purchase all of the items- if we didn't we had to change our plan of attack.

4. We brought the items from Miss Lowe's Shop.

5. We created our race cars.

6. Race time and Miss Lowe judged for the 'best looking car'.

Tomorrow we will be racing other classes and looking at all of the other creations. We have had so much fun!

Miah

Once upon a time there lived a girl with a cute little black and white bunny and a red and black frog that lived on her shoulder. The girls name was Talia, the rabbits name was Sparkle and the frogs name was Freddo. They lived in a big forest. They ran in the forest. They could see the beautiful feathery birds perching on the big fat log. They could hear an owl twooting loudly. The girl, the rabbit and the frog smelt the freshness of the pine needles, then they went back home.

Lucas

I was making a super-secret portal. I hopped in it. It took to me another world. I meet another farmer. I gave him a piece of a golden sword.

Liam

Rosie and Daisy are both girl lambs. They both feed from bottles. They like me. You mix the lamb milk powder with warm water. Rosie and Daisy are always jumping over the fence. Rosie hurt one of her back legs. She won’t put any weight on it.

Amber

When I woke up I saw a dinosaur, she gave me a big fright, but she was pink. She said “Hello my name is Lilly, what’s your name?” Then I replied, “My name is Amber”. She had beautiful eyes, they were big, blue and they sparkled. We played a game. The game was called ‘tag’.

Angel

Playing is special to me because I get to laugh and laugh with my friends. I really love playing inside and outside because I run in and out of the door laughing. I love watching the beautiful birds flying around my house. I love listening to the birds singing outside. I can always see the trees blowing from side to side.

Dale

In the weekend, on Saturday, I went to rugby. We versed Tekk. We won. I forgot the score and the player of the day was Seth. It was cold and rainy so we went home. I went by the snuggly fire. In the afternoon I had some toast.

Saylor

Once when I was in bed, I saw some type of sparkly animal. It was spiky and purple with lots of polka dots. I crept up and said “Hello” to it. It didn't say a single word until it said to me “my name is Feddy”. I said “my name is Sian”. Freddy wanted to go to the beach.” I will take you, but you have to behave” I said. “Okay, yes!”. When we got there he said “wow the beach is so sparkly, can I please go in now?” “Yes” I said. “Yipee” She said. It was too cold! “This is freezing!!” said Freddy the dinosaur.

Avarna- The Ocean Animals

Ocean animals are cool but they can not swim backwards because they will drown and die which is not nice. Hump back whales can only eat shrimp and I do not know why, “do you know why?”. Sharks have sharp teeth that can snap and kill people and fish. Puffer fish can blow up and go spiky. Dolphins are beautiful fish that can jump in an out of the water.

Yasmine

Once upon a time there lived a nine year old boy named Charlie. His best friend who was always picked on at school was Benjamin. Charlie cared for Benjamin no matter what his beastly grandma would say. Grandma Bone has nasty children, now they were Charlie’s aunts. They were called the Youbean aunts. They made Charlie go to Bloor’s Academy. He hated it. It was for people who were endowed and were great at English, art and music.

Maeroa

In the weekend I found a shed. It has an awesome submarine. I got in it. I dropped into the water and I saw land mines and fossils. When I went up I saw dinosaurs. A T-rex and a Tyrannosaurus Rex. They were so big. I yelled out “Hey! Can you make me a pathway?” They roared at me, I did not know what they said.

Nicole

Early one morning as the birds started to chirp, I opened my front door. I went for a stroll in the park with my best friend. We saw something very interesting. “Roar, Roar”. It was a dinosaur, so we ran back home. The dinosaur sat down and waited for us but we never went back outside.

Sian

I could see the frost on the fields. It covered the grass. There was ice on my car window; mum poured the hot water on to the car. In front of me was a cold, frozen, shiny ice on our plants. It was amazing. I could hear the wind blowing and the fire crackling as I was lying down by the fire. I was listening down by the fire. I was listening to the car rumbling as I was eating my delicious breakfast.

Taj

In front of me was a giant block of ice just sitting on the step. There was a spooky head in it. I could see it blinking and he was talking. I could hear the music playing in my head phones. I was listening to Wapa Angim. I felt the hail down my back. Brrrrrr. That’s cold. I went back inside.

Seth

It was the holidays and it was a Tuesday so I had to go to taekwondo. When I went to taekwondo I had to break wood. Master said “brilliant kick”. Mr Powell said it too. When I went home we roasted marshmallows, then we played Wii.

Tyler.W- The end of the dinosaurs

Max, Rhys, Alfie and I were playing. We were on the motorbikes then in front of us was a tree. I went in the middle and I went back in time to the dinosaurs in New Zealand. Right in front of us was a T-Rex. The Tyrannosaurus Rex got Alfie. I front flipped and grabbed Alfie. Alfie and I were lost. I found a bike in front of a bmx track. I had to race a triceratops. I won. We went back through the tree and back home. We went and got some dinner after our long day.

Alfie-Paris

Suddenly I woke up to a crazy noise and I looked out my window. I saw cars everywhere, street lights flashing and planes flying. I was amazed. I lay back in bed and thought “Where am I?” Then I woke up. It was all a dream and I told my mum all about it.

Jean

Deep in the ocean there was a fish called Emily. She was exploring the shiny, bright, red and pink coral. Then suddenly Emily heard Megan, her mum, calling her for dinner. When she got home she told Megan that she saw red and pink coral. Emily could smell the salty sea water. Emily could feel the sea water tickling her body. She thought about what she would have for dinner. Emily swam about in circles waiting for her dinner. Emily was hungry. She said “I am hungry”.

Louie

One beautiful, bright morning I strolled across the enchanted, misty, icy, brick path. I wondered where it would take me. I started running as fast as a cheetah. There was a ginormous pile of burgundy coloured leaves. I jumped in it and I threw them around but then I stopped because I saw that there was a monkey standing on the path looking right at me.

Alec

I saw an alien right beside me then I ran screaming around the house. I then stopped. I called him E.T. I started to be his friend and then we had biscuits all night. The next morning I took E.T to the library. I read to him. His favourite book was the monster stories. He wanted to go home, so I took him home. “Bye!” he called out to me while he was digging his was to Hong Kong.

Rhys

I could see the frosty grass with sharp pointy tops. There were lots of small birds chirping. In front of me was a hot steaming Milo. I was listening to the leaves slowly floating down and dropping on the crunchy grass. I could hear the fluffy birds singing a slow song. I could feel the crispy leaves melting in my hands. Brrrrr! I could feel the wind swishing past my face.

Tyler.O

When I was in bed I heard a thumping noise outside. I rushed to get the torch. As I tip-toed outside I saw a pointy thing. I didn't know what it was. I said “Hi”. It looked at me. “Ahhhh”. It was a dinosaur and it said “You don’t have to be scared. I’m nice”. She was a girl. She had shiny eyes and a bow for her nose. Her name was Ella. I had to go to school that day but at the end of school, she picked me up from school and everyone was scared of her. We tried to tell them she was nice but they didn't believe us.

Stella

I can see the yellow saw shining in the sun. The waves were splashing high. I saw a dolphin. There were crabs coming up on the shore in front of me. There was a little island in the distance. I could see the seagulls croaking. I went in the freezing cold water. After that I went home. I went in the warm spa. It was so hot, I could have cooked a toasted sandwich. I went in it and it made me feel prickly.

Novah

Once upon a time a small fairy showed up in a little kids room. She was called the Tooth Fairy. She lifted up the pillow and saw the…Shell!? “This kid tricked me!” She said in an angry voice. I am going to take this fake tooth and leave nothing. In the morning the little kid was sad because her plan didn't work.
