The junior school will be swimming at the Clive Pools starting on Monday 3rd November.
Don't forget your swimming gear!
We have had a great start to the year and Room 4 have already done a lot of fun things!
WORMS!!
Room 4 are in charge of looking after the worm farm at Clive School this year, so an expert named Sarah came in this morning and worked with the children. They learnt lot's of new information about worms and what needs to be done to care for them...
Tyler went to Auckland in the weekend and competed against more than 23 other children!!
He came away with yet another trophy for all his hard work!
We are very proud of Tyler and love that he tries so hard and perseveres with something that he loves doing! Ka Pai Tyler!!
We are learning about our new inquiry which is about our digestive system and looking at foods on the food pyramid. Today we used the question matrix to come up with wonderful questions! We thought really hard about what a good question is and needs. The question matrix was a good way to come up with them...Take a look!
We had some very special visitors to Room 4 this morning and we wrote some short stories about our senses. 4th March 2014

I saw whitey brown feathers pop out of the box.
I heard noisy little chirps singing a wonderful song.
I felt their soft black feathers slipping through my fingers.
I wondered what they would feel like and if their hard little spotty beak would nip me.

We have been enjoying the sunshine and being outdoors using the swimming pool, writing amazing stories, reading lots of books, learning about calenders, days of the week and months of the year and we were lucky enough to see real caterpillars, caterpillar eggs and a chrysalis which Mrs Drake had brought in.We loved seeing the caterpillar eat through the swan plant during the day.
Our caterpillar turned into a chrysalis today!- 20th February 2014
Just 2 weeks later our caterpillar has turned into...
